For most of her life, Barbara was a breeding cow for the meat industry – her job was to continually have calves to earn her keep. Luckily, Barbara was rescued and arrived at the sanctuary in July 2014. She was pregnant on arrival and gave birth to Florence five months later. After previously having all her babies taken away from her, Barbara for the first time, is experiencing the full life of her baby calf.

Barbara and Florence will live out their lives together in safety and kindness at the sanctuary.
