Gilbert came to Where Pigs Fly after being labeled as aggressive and badly behaved. His previous owners no longer wanted him, and his future was uncertain. Upon arrival, a very different goat emerged – small, adorable and far from the troublemaker he’d been described as.
Gilbert quickly won over the sanctuary team with his playful antics and bouncy ears. The volunteers love watching him explore his surroundings and engage in typical goat behaviours. He’s formed a special friendship with another goat named Guzman, and the two are often seen together around the sanctuary.
Now wanted, loved, and understood, Gilbert has found his place at Where Pigs Fly. He enjoys the safety and peace that sanctuary life provides, spending his days playing with his goat friends and investigating anything new in his environment. His story shows how animals can thrive when given the chance to express their natural personalities
