Found wandering the streets alone, Reginald was taken to a RSPCA shelter, stressed and unsure of his future. A dog shelter is no place for a turkey but thankfully, we could quickly offer him a permanent home, where he quickly settled in with both feathered and human friends.
At Where Pigs Fly, Reginald has plenty of space to express natural rooster behaviours like scratching for seeds, dust bathing, and roosting at night. He spends his mornings foraging with other birds in the sanctuary grounds, enjoying the freedom to move about as he pleases. During the day, he can often be found exploring different areas of the sanctuary or resting in shady spots with his feathered companions. Reginald’s confident demeanor shows how well he’s adjusted to sanctuary life. His transformation from a lost, unwanted and depressed to a content sanctuary resident shows how well animals thrive when given proper care and companionship. Reginald will never be lonely or feel unwanted again.
