Starsky appeared unexpectedly at a local stable in June 2020, arriving as a small piglet who kept following the property owner around. After checking with neighbors and finding no one missing a pig, the owner contacted Where Pigs Fly, concerned about Starsky’s future.

While many people offered to take the friendly piglet, the sanctuary was chosen to ensure his safety and wellbeing. At Where Pigs Fly, Starsky has grown into his bold personality, approaching life with confidence and enthusiasm.

He’s particularly fond of human interaction, always eager for belly scratches from sanctuary volunteers. Starsky spends his days exploring the sanctuary grounds, socializing with other residents, and checking out any new activities in his environment. His friendly nature makes him popular with visitors, and he’s often found following volunteers around during their daily tasks. Despite his mysterious beginnings, Starsky has found his perfect home at the sanctuary.
