Wilbur came to Where Pigs Fly after being part of a school Paddock to Plate program. He and his siblings were being raised at the school before planned slaughter.
Wilbur was luckily rescued along with his siblings. The sanctuary offered him a different future and now Wilbur spends his days enjoying the sunshine and wallowing in the mud with other rescued pigs. He takes full advantage of the sanctuary’s space to express natural pig behaviours like rooting and exploring. Wilbur particularly enjoys cooling off in wallows during warm weather and foraging around his paddock. His days are now filled with the activities that make pigs happiest – socializsing with other pigs, investigating his surroundings, and simply being himself.
Rescue date: November 2014
