Two months ago, a man driving through country NSW spotted a tiny baby goat lying on the side of the highway. Alone. Weak. Scared. She was taken straight to a local vet, where they were told that if no home could be easily found she would be euthanised. This was almost the end of her story. Her rescuer couldn’t give up on her. He took her home and bottle-fed her until she was stronger. But living in suburbia, he couldn’t keep her. Becky needed somewhere safe. Somewhere with other goats. When he listed her online, the responses didn’t feel right. He didn’t want to hand her to just anyone. So he reached out to us. We said yes. Becky arrived at Where Pigs Fly Farm Sanctuary this week. After such a terrifying start to life, she is safe. She is loved. She need never worry again. She has found her herd. |
