Annie - Gentle and resilient, Clydesdale Horse
Annie was rescued in November 2022 along with her buddy, Bob the donkey. For many many years, Annie and Bob had been confined to a small round yard with limited space. The yard was so small, Annie couldn’t stretch her legs, graze freely, or socialise.
Since arriving at Where Pigs Fly Farm Sanctuary, Annie has thrived in her new environment. She now enjoys roaming large paddocks, grazing fresh grass, and moving freely. Despite her past confinement, Annie has quickly adapted to life in an open space and bonded with other horses.
Although Annie still shares a close bond with Bob, she has formed new relationships within the sanctuary’s horse herd. Her quiet and independent nature allows her to fit in effortlessly, while still enjoying the freedom to be herself.
Annie’s story is a testament to the resilience of rescued animals. After years of restriction, she has embraced change and is thriving in her sanctuary home.
Rescue date: November 2022
