Animal Welfare Charity

Where Pigs Fly Farm Sanctuary is a registered non-profit animal charity dedicated to farm animal rescue, rehabilitation and advocacy.

Founded in 2014, we are one of Australia’s leading farm animal sanctuaries.

Nestled in the beautiful lower Wollombi Valley with easy access from Sydney, Newcastle and the Central Coast, we provide sanctuary to over 200 farmed animals rescued from various tragic circumstances.

Join us in our mission to inspire compassionate living, end animal exploitation and create a kinder world for all animals.

Where Pigs Fly Farm Sanctuary on Better Homes and Gardens

Dr Harry (Australia’s celebrity vet) and the crew from Better Homes and Gardens spent a day filming at our farm animal sanctuary in the lower Hunter Valley. The episode went to air on national tv on Friday 14 February.

OUR IMPACT-FOCUSED PROGRAMMES

Animal Rescue

We rescue and rehabilitate farm animals from various tragic circumstances within our current food system. These animal ambassadors spread the message that they deserve our compassion and respect and help educate sanctuary visitors around issues related to animal welfare, factory farming and sustainability.

Education

Our educational programmes inspire both compassion and understanding of the sentience and plight of farm animals and the ease and joy of plant-based living. These include tours, school classes, special events, volunteer days and community outreach, as well as online education that reaches a global audience.
