Abigail was rescued from an intensive battery shed. With no feathers and very thin when she arrived, she had clearly suffered from the appalling living conditions she was kept in. Abigail took quickly to her new surroundings at the sanctuary – free at last from the intensely crowded wire “battery cages” where she had languished. Despite her horrific start to life, Abigail has an amazing strength and wonderful spirit. She clearly enjoys the sky, the sun and the freedom to roam as she pleases. Abigail is free from the pain and exploitation she once knew.
Few places on earth exist where farmed animals grow old with respect, dignity, and kindness. Where Pigs Fly Farm Sanctuary is proudly one of them.
