Meet Rufus the Sheep
From fragile to fearless
Little Rufus was rescued from the roadside, found orphaned, alone and unable to walk due to contracted tendons. He was just days old when found.
When Rufus arrived at the sanctuary, we immediately went to work and applied shims for hoof stabilisation and plaster wraps on his front legs, allowing him to gain mobility.
With expert veterinary care, proper nutrition and the best sanctuary care, Rufus has transformed into a happy, energetic lamb. His unique bouncy run is a joy to watch, and he loves chasing after the quad bike with his best friend, Willow.
Little Rufus is more wide than he is tall. His days are now filled with play, friendship and adventure at Where Pigs Fly Farm Sanctuary. He lives his life free of harm and suffering
Rufus’ journey from helpless to thriving is a testament to the power of compassion and kindness and a reminder that every animal deserves respect and kindness regardless of their species. We love him to bits.
Rescue Date: November 202
