Meet Senorita the Donkey
From neglect to a safe landing
Señorita arrived at Where Pigs Fly Farm Sanctuary in July 2019, rescued alongside Lily and Phil after suffering from severe neglect and malnutrition. Weak and underfed, she needed urgent veterinary care, proper nutrition, and a safe home. Now, she roams freely and confidently, making the most of the sanctuary’s 100 acres.
Señorita loves grooming sessions, standing patiently as volunteers brush her and offer gentle hugs. She’s friendly, curious, and always the first to greet visitors. At night, her loud, unmistakable bray rings out across the paddocks, and in the early morning, it echoes across the Wollombi Valley, ensuring the neighbours wake up to her call.
She spends her days wandering with her donkey companions, enjoying the safety and care she never had before. Once neglected and forgotten, Señorita now lives a life of comfort and dignity—a true rescue success story and a reminder of the power of second chances.
