Meet Senorita the Donkey

From neglect to a safe landing

Ā SeƱorita arrived atĀ Where Pigs Fly Farm SanctuaryĀ inĀ July 2019, rescued alongsideĀ Lily and PhilĀ after suffering fromĀ severe neglect and malnutrition. Weak and underfed, she neededĀ urgent veterinary care, proper nutrition, and a safe home. Now, she roamsĀ freely and confidently, making the most of the sanctuary’sĀ 100 acres.

SeƱorita lovesĀ grooming sessions, standing patiently as volunteers brush her and offer gentle hugs. She’s friendly, curious, and always the first toĀ greet visitors. At night, herĀ loud, unmistakable brayĀ rings out across the paddocks, and in theĀ early morning, it echoes across the Wollombi Valley, ensuring theĀ neighbours wake up to her call.

She spends her daysĀ wandering with her donkey companions, enjoying the safety and care she never had before. Once neglected and forgotten, SeƱorita now lives aĀ life of comfort and dignity—a trueĀ rescue success storyĀ and a reminder of theĀ power of second chances.
